Qi in Translation is my thesis topic of my NYU IMA LowRes. It explores the invisible flows that shape everyday life in Hong Kong. Drawing on the concept of Qi as circulation rather than mysticism, the installation transforms urban sound, radio signals, light, and material into a sensory landscape. Built from recordings collected during a typical working day, the work reveals the hidden infrastructures, both physical and digital that quietly influence how we move, communicate, and perceive the city. Through sound, projection, and sculptural form, I hope audiences will listen beyond what is immediately visible and experience the city as a living network of continuous flows.
